Mission Statement:
As a spiritually based community of believers, we are Christians in a Lutheran tradition who strive to understand, follow and promote the Word of God and the Love of Christ.

Summer Worship Services & *Holy Communion:
June 21-Sept. 6, 2009 9:30AM Worship service on Sundays.
*Holy Communion is offered to all who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

$5 for one child, $10 for a family (2 or more)

"Gods Work, Our Hands"
- Make your own puppet and participate in a show
- Lunch, dinner and a snack provided
- Puppet performance by "Cloth, Cardboard, Spirit, and Soul"

Christian Education:

Sunday School:
Sunday morning classes for Ages 3-Adult are offered at 9:30AM, Sept.-May

Confirmation:
Catechetical instruction leading to confirmation is provided for 7th & 8th graders.

Bible Study:
Thursday nights at 7:30 in Miesel Hall (All are welcome!)
Lydia Circle - Meets 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in parishoner homes
Peace Circle - Meets 3rd Tuesday of each month at 3:30pm at the church
Rebecca Circle - Meets 3rd Tuesday of each month at 12:30pm at the church
Men's Group Bible Study - Meets the last Tuesday of each month

Membership Classes :
Classes for persons who wish to review the basic Christian teachings of the Lutheran Church are provided by our Pastor several times each year.

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
3rd Grade - 5th Grade
6th Grade - 8th Grade
9th Grade - 12th Grade (Senior High)

Outreach Programs:

Senior Citizen's Mini-bus

Transportation for Senior Citizens of the Brookline community within Brookline for doctor appts., shopping, etc.
Bus runs from 9:30am-2:30pm on
Mon., Tues., Wed., & Fri.

Meal on Wheels
Provides meals daily by volunteers in the community. For more information please call 412-343-8144.

Pleasant Valley Shelter
Cook and serve meals to the homeless the 1st Tuesday of each month.

Puppet Ministry
Children and adults of the congregation are involved in sharing God's word through puppets. During the summer the show has gone on road trips and has even been seen on television! (Ages 10-18) Beginning in March, practices on alternate Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm.


Ongoing Fellowship Events:
Coffee time and Fellowship after early service before Sunday School.

Parish Pals:
All church children are paired with a special adult who helps them grow in their faith. Both children and adults benefit from this.

Youth Puppet Ministry:
A program run by volunteers and Pastor Bryte. The show has been taken on the road during the summer and some of the children and puppets have appeared on television. Ages 10-18. Beginning in March, practices will be held on alternate Monday evenings from 6:30-8:00.

Adult Choir and Handbells:
St. Mark's has an adult choir and also a handbell choir.
